Antarctic Icefish, Chionodraco hamatus
Living their entire existence in water temperatures that are barely above freezing, these outlandish creatures have adapted by producing a protein-based antifreeze in their tissues. Also called "Glass Blood Fish" they have no hemoglobin in their blood which is what humans & most other creatures use to transport oxygen (and makes blood red). Instead they have huge hearts and big blood vessels which pump their water-like blood around their body--since it is so cold their blood, like the surrounding water is saturated with oxygen!
